Gin Baubles a great gift for gin lovers at Christmas festive fun for your Tree
I have to admit I was not a big fan of Gin since I had a little bit too much of it one year. But when these baubles arrived I had a little sip and it was really tasty.
The baubles are loaded with Pickerings Gin from Scotland. These Gin Baubles got me back into drinking gin, I realised it was Gordans Gin I dont like and in fact I like nearly all others. Since having these I am buying a new gin each month and loving trying them all.
This multi-award winning, marvellously mixed gin is hand crafted at Summerhall Distillery – the first exclusive gin distillery to be established in Edinburgh for over 150 years.
Based on an original Bombay recipe, kept secret since 1947, Pickering’s comes in three delicious bottlings as well as the occasional special edition. All of them spectacularly smooth and beautifully balanced. Perfect for all social animals. You can read more about Pickerings Gin Here
If you are ever in Edinburgh you can even visit the distillery to try some more of their delicious Gin.
The best bit is these baubles are going to look so pretty on the tree next year when they are empty but I am likely to buy another bottle of Pickerings gin and fill them up again so year after year I will have the festive fun.
I put my tree up early just so I could see how they look and I am really impressed, however I do keep looking at them thinking just one more sip so it could be a very boozy Christmas as I have 6 baubles and my mum doesn’t like gin.
The baubles are light plastic so not issue with them getting smashed if they fall off the tree.
They now have these gin baubles in different flavours including Brussel sprout gin, I am not sure if I would like that, what do you think?
How to drink the Gin
If you are not a big fan of neat gin and you want something a little different from plain tonic you can try it with some of these flavoured tonics

With the recent resurgence in the popularity of Gin , have you done any travels to Holland where gin originally came from ? Not quite as exotic as some of your more recent adventures but a fascinating place nevertheless. Would love to hear your take on some of Amsterdam’s tourist spots and cuisine Btw the baubles sound a novel idea and I will be experimenting with your cocktail recipes over the festive season hic!
I went to Amsterdam for my 18th I am planning on going back in 2018 and if I do I will definitely share with you. I do remember having the best ever spaghetti bolognaise when I was in Amsterdam lol
