My Trip to Bunn Leisure Holiday Park: West Sands

My trip to Bunn Leisure Holiday Park: West Sands

Another one of my cheap breaks with Sun Holidays where I spent mon to fri in June with my mum. Unfortunately, the weather was grim typical English seaside weather of grey skies and rain, but I had a lovely time at Bunn Leisure Holiday park and would recommend it.

My Sat Nav took us to the wrong entrance for the Bunn Leisure holiday park and when it took nearly 10 minutes to get to the reception, I realised just how big this holiday Park was.

Check in was quick and easy when we finally did find reception. We arrived just after 4 and check in was at 4 but there was no queue. They took name, ID and car registration and gave me a pass for the car and welcome pack and map pointing out our caravan 1063.

The caravan was a 3-bed sleeping 6 with a double bed and 2 twins. It had a small shower and toilet and then a separate toilet which is great if a few of you were travelling.

The rooms are very small but that the compromise of having three bedroom and two toilets. I didn’t find the beds the most comfortable I have experienced in a holiday park but they did the job although in the single beds turn over cautiously so you don’t fall out. Good quality pillows and duvets were provided and we took our own linen. There was storage space.

It was clean and nicely decorated. The lounge area had a fire, small TV, plenty of seating which was not the most comfortable. There was a dining table, kitchen with all the basics. There was plenty of storage space in the kitchen and central heating which is a added bonus.

They provided a welcome gift in a box that was a toilet roll, washing up liquid bin bag and wash cloth which I thought was a nice touch.
Our caravan had a parking space outside and there was plenty of extra parking spaces close by.

Even though the weather was not the best when the sun did come out we sat outside on our chairs that we took with us and some ducks came to say hello. We also saw a number of bunny rabbits on site.

The holiday park is large with its own fun fair for little kiddies even though it said it was open every day it didn’t look open when we went by. There is a golf and karting track, a hairdressers, bar and snack places and its own fish and chip shop. Entertainment was mainly aimed at kids so great place for families, they had nightly bingo and a nightly show when we were there it was blue brothers and a dick Whittington pantomime.

The site did have Wi-Fi but there was a charge, luckily I have data so did not require it as it seemed very expensive.

The holiday park has access to a shingle beach and beautiful sea views. It is also a great location for exploring local areas such as Chichester and Portsmouth.

The whole park was clean and well kept and we saw a number of maintenance people making sure the park is kept to good standards. There are barriers to enter and exit the park making it secure.
