The Middle East is best known for its royal amenities and luxury travel experiences. Saudi Arabia’s national airline, Saudia, is preparing to introduce a new Premium Economy cabin on its long-haul flights, giving passengers another option between Standard Economy and Business Class. The new seats will first appear on its Boeing 787 aircraft, which is expected to arrive in 2027.

This week, Saudia revealed its new Premium Economy seats at the World Travel Market event in London. The new cabin is designed to offer more comfort and privacy for passengers on longer journeys.

Saudia promises more comfort to its passengers

Under its “New Saudia Experience” program, the airline launched Premium Economy. The launch focuses on upgrading its aircraft and improving the passenger experience.

However, the airline has yet to announce when it will complete these upgrades. Arved von zur Muehlen, Chief Commercial Officer at Saudia, expressed that the new cabin will give customers more options and enhance their overall travel experience.

“The introduction of Premium Economy marks another step in enhancing the choices and comfort available to our guests,” Arved von zur Muehlen, Chief Commercial Officer at Saudia said.

New experience for passengers

Saudia Airline has also ordered up to 49 Boeing 787 Dreamliners. It has also added the Airbus A321XLR to its fleet, making it the first airline in the Middle East and Africa to operate the aircraft.
