I loved this little hotel in the hills of Morella in the Castellon region of Spain. I only spent one night here but would definitely stay here again if I am back in Morella.
The guy on reception was the only member of staff I encountered and he was friendly and helpful. The hotel was really clean and comfortable.
The hotel was on the main street in Morella although I think any hotel in this town but be a great location as it is such a small area. There were a few steps to get into the main entrance. They had a lift to access all floors.
I stayed on the 2nd floor and had views over the main street. I was woken to bird singing which was so nice. Some people in my group had rooms at the back of the hotel which gave amazing views of the hills. I would ask for a room at the back if I was to come here again.
I felt that we were the only people staying at this hotel as I didn’t see any other guests, it was so quiet which is something I love when staying in a hotel as I don’t want to be kept awake by noise. My bed was so comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. I liked the Décor of this hotel is felt very traditional, it was perfect for one night to see the sights in Morella.
Breakfast was delicious and so fresh they even had garlic this is the first time I have ever seen garlic at breakfast but as I was going to be on a mini bus for a few hours I didn’t want to stink it out so didn’t have any. They had wine, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, juice. Fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries, cakes, breaks, cold meats, cheeses. Spanish omelette, eggs and bacon.
I was hosted by Rey Don Jaime Hotel in Morella during a press trip with Bristol Bloggers in association with Turismo de Castellon

I loved the location of this hotel and the views from our window – I think you missed out on those as you were facing the street.
The hotel had a lovely breakfast, such an array of pastries and meats. I loved the tortilla! The blankets and pillows were lovely too. I think they were made by local crafts people.
Morella was such an interesting place to stay and I thoroughly enjoyed the continental breakfast served here. It was so unusual wasn’t it? I had the view over the mountains and it was beautiful!
