I cant wait to stay here at some point in the future it looks magnificent. I attended the opening launch and was very impressed. I wish I hadn’t just gotten off a flight from Edinburgh and had time to at least brush my hair as I did feel a little scruffy compared to everyone in their posh frocks. There’s me in my walking sandals and backpack. Hasten to add I didn’t stay long as felt slightly underdressed but I hope to attend more functions here in the future as it looked lovely with so much character with amazing detailed on the ceiling in the hall it was beautiful.

The hotel is in the former Lloyds Bank building, inspired by the Sansovino’s 16th century Library of St Mark in the Piazzatta at Venice and is in the heart of the city by St Nicholas Market. We were treated to some classical music, champagne and tasty food if that was anything to go by then its going to be a great experience to dine at this hotel.

The hotel hosts 42 bedrooms; suites feature roll tops baths with city views, and there’s a Jetty restaurant with award-winning menus created by Harbour Hotels’ Chef Patron Alex Aitken. The former basement bank vaults are being transformed into an indulgent Harbour Spa, opening spring 2017.

What is set to become Bristol’s most impressive events space will be found in the former banking hall of the Lloyds Bank building. This grand room hosts a magnificent skylight, with an opulent detailed ceiling, providing a spectacular backdrop to seat up to 300 guests for a diverse range of occasions; from weddings, award ceremonies and art exhibitions, to corporate functions and Christmas parties. Bookings are now available.

Mike Warren, Managing Director of Harbour Hotels, says:

“We are delighted to be introducing our award-winning Harbour Hotels brand to Bristol. These architecturally stunning former banks provide a unique opportunity to create a luxury city centre hotel; bringing back to use old banking halls that have been vacant for years.

With a prime position in the heart of this vibrant city, we are excited to not only attract new visitors with our luxury new hotel, but provide a Jetty restaurant and Bristol’s most impressive events space.”

Room prices: from £145 per room per night, bed and breakfast based on two people sharing which is a great price for luxury accommodation in a city such as Bristol, I personally can not wait to see more of the rooms and hopefully spend a night some time soon.
